Information about Tethered spinal cord syndrome
A tether is a cord, fixture, or flexible attachment that anchors something movable to a reference point which may be fixed or moving. There are a number of applications for tethers: balloons, kites, tethered wind-energy conversion systems, anchors, tethered water-flow energy conversion systems, towing, animal constraint, spaceflight, and power-kiting. Tethering is also used to prevent the theft of a computer at a school or library.
Tethers may break by various means; if a tether is a signal, then interruption by signal barriers breaks the tether.[further explanation needed] If the tether is a cord or rope, then upon reaching the breaking strength of the tether, the tether fails in its function. Failure modes for tethers are considered when designing arrangements where a tether is needed. When a tether or line breaks suddenly, backlash of the segments may cause severe damage or loss of life. Safety links are sometimes used to prevent excessive tension in a tether involved in towing objects or persons, like in the towing of sailplanes; the safety link in a tether is thus a tether itself.[further explanation needed]
The London Spine unit at The Harley Street Hospital we specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of Tethered spinal cord syndrome. Our Specialists are trained in the recognition of symptoms caused by Tethered spinal cord syndrome. Xrays cannot often diagnose the problem and the best investigation for this condition is an MRI scan as this shows the structural damage that can be caused by Tethered spinal cord syndrome.
If you have been diagnosed with Tethered spinal cord syndrome or you have been advised to have surgery on your spine including your Vertebra then you should seek a specialist second opinion on the best treatment options as untreated Tethered spinal cord syndrome can lead to more serious problems including nerve damage, persistent pain and immobility.

Information about Norwich
Norwich () is a city in Norfolk, England, about 100 miles (160 km) north-east of London. Located on the River Wensum, Norwich is the county town of Norfolk and traditionally seen as the chief city of East Anglia. Its population in 2019 was estimated at 197,212. The local authority for the city is Norwich City Council.
The site of modern Norwich was settled by the Anglo-Saxons between the 5th and 7th centuries, near the former Iceni capital and Roman town of Venta Icenorum. Norwich became fully established as a town in the 10th century and developed into a prominent centre for trade and commerce in East Anglia. Norwich Cathedral and Norwich Castle were founded soon after the Norman Conquest in 1066. Norwich was granted city status by Richard the Lionheart in 1194. The city greatly benefited from the wool trade throughout the Middle Ages and prospered as a port with the status of a staple port; until the 18th century, it was the second-largest city in England (after London).
Norwich’s fortunes declined with the advent of the Industrial Revolution and the rise of new industrial towns of the north. The city underwent de-industrialisation in the 19th century but remained a regional agricultural and manufacturing centre, with a prominent shoemaking industry. After the Second World War, Norwich gradually transitioned into a service-based economy. The University of East Anglia, established in 1963, is located on the outskirts of Norwich.
