A 50-year-old lady was dropped at the emergency division with shortness of breath and chest tightness following acupuncture to her higher again for a chronically painful left shoulder. She had signs of respiratory misery and chest X-ray revealed bilateral pneumothoraces. Signs resolved after insertion of bilateral Seldinger chest drains.
