Summary
OBJECTIVE: To discover the tactic and medical impact of MAST Quadrant for lumbar spondylolisthesis with adjoining phase degeneration.
METHODS: From April 2014 to January 2016, 36 circumstances of lumbar spondylolisthesis with adjoining phase degeneration had been handled by MAST Quadrant(goal nerve decompression and transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion or articulationes zygapophysiales fusion by unilateral fixation with MAST Quadrant). Twenty-three circumstances had been degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis and 13 circumstances had been isthmic lumbar spondylolisthesis. Based on Meyerding grade of spondylolisthesis, 16 circumstances had been grade I, 17 circumstances had been grade II, and three circumstances had been grade III. Visible analogue rating (VAS), Oswesty Incapacity Index (ODI) and JOA rating had been used to judge the medical final result.
RESULTS: The quantity of intraoperative bleeding was 230 to 480 ml with a mean of 340 ml and the quantity of postoperative blood loss was 15 to 80 ml with a mean of 43 ml. Operative time was 176 to 240 min with a mean of 193 min; X-ray publicity time was 2 to six s with a mean of three.6 s. Two circumstances had been sophisticated with dural tear with out nerve damage throughout operation. Thirty circumstances had been adopted up from 12 to 17 months with a mean of 15.2 months. VAS scores for preoperative, 5 days, three months after surgical procedure had been 7.6±1.7, 1.9±zero.four, zero.eight±zero.four respectively, and there was vital distinction earlier than and after operation(P<zero.05). The ODI scores for preoperative and three months after surgical procedure had been 35.9±1.2 and three.7±zero.7 respectively, and there was vital distinction earlier than and after operation(P<zero.05). JOA scores for preoperative, 5 days, 1 months, three months after surgical procedure had been 13.2±zero.four, 24.four±zero.four, 27.four±zero.1, 27.9±zero.5 respectively, and there was vital distinction earlier than and after operation(P<zero.05).
CONCLUSIONS: MAST Quadrant might be utilized to deal with lumbar spondylolisthesis with adjoining phase degeneration, and the minimally invasive sugical method is a secure and efficient methodology, with the benefit of easy operation, quick restoration.
